Welding electrodes Monolith M-309L

AWS A5.4: E309L-16
EN ISO 3581-А- E 23 12 L R 1 2
Terms of use
  • applied when welding in all spatial positions, except vertical from top to bottom
  • welding is recommended to be performed at the maximum possible speed without transverse oscillations of the electrode
Special properties
  • characterized by good welding and technological properties, minor spattering, easy separation of the slag crust, stable arc burning and excellent weld quality
  • when welding dissimilar steels, high resistance to the formation of cracks is ensured and a high resistance to intercrystalline corrosion when working up to 300 °C. And also when welding heat-resistant stainless steels, high resistance to scale formation is ensured in the working temperature range up to 900 °С
  • surfacing coefficient: 0.17...0.19 g/A•min
  • consumption of electrodes per 1 kg of deposited metal: 1.5...1.7 kg
Monolith M-309L electrodes are designed for welding various native steels (austenitic and carbon), austenitic stainless steels of the type 08Х18Н10, 03Х18Н11, AISI 304, AISI 304L, etc., in the working temperature range not higher than 300°C, as well as for welding heat-resistant stainless steels such as AISI 309, AISI 309S and similar by chemical composition 20X23H13, 08X23H13. They are used for fusion of the transition layer on heat-resistant chrome-molybdenum steel pearlitic class and for cladding ferrito-pearlitic, low and se- regularly doped bases and for applying buffer layers before surfacing These electrodes are suitable for welding spare voirs, containers used for storing large variety of liquids and solids, industrial equipment in mining, chemical, cryogenic, food, dairy and pharmaceutical pharmaceutical industries.
